I've always had a fancy for maxi dresses, but whenever I consider wearing one I always feel the need to wait til summer rolls back around. There is just something about them that yells summer picnic and warm evening walks. But alas, I couldn't resist any longer and had to pull one out from the back of my closet and cozy it up a bit.
I wore my favorite maxi dress and paired it with a recently thrifted sweater and some moccasins. It was perfect for a coffee date night with my sweet mister. Outfits as cozy as this (plus a dose of hot coffee) make me think winter and its chilly weather are much more durable.
Like my new clutch? DIY on how to make your very own will be posted on Wednesday.
Hope you're having a lovely start to your week.
Sincerely, Kinsey.
So cute, Kinsey! Can't wait to see the DIY - your clutch is TOO cute!

I love that maxi dress! It's summer here in NZ so I'm just bringing out mine. I always have to hem my maxi's though. I'm too dang short even with heels!

ReplyDeleteI think short girls can totally pull of maxis. I am forever tripping over mine but there is something very beautiful about fabric trailing behind you. I am going to go and pull all my summer dresses out of my drawers now! Thanks Kinsey!
ReplyDeleteI really like your whole outfit, especially the clutch! I can't wait to read the DIY. Seems like a nice little project to do during my holiday break!

ReplyDeleteHi Kinsey! Thanks so much for your comment over on EnthusedMonkey, I'm so glad you like the makeover and thanks so much for visiting the blog! You have a pretty nice one here too :) Loving the maxi dress idea - I have just bought a very similar one from a charity shop and buried it for the winter - but you've inspired me to get it back out again! ReplyDeleteKinsey! You have a lovely blog as well! Glad I "discovered" it, and I know I will start following :)
ReplyDeleteHow is it that I only own one maxi dress? Yours looks lovely with a sweater--I'll have to dig around in my sweater drawer and see if I can come up with one that looks good with my very disco maxi dress!
