I've attempted to tackle this project a few times now, and I believe I've finally found a combination that suits it well. I hope you enjoy!
Supplies: feathers, masking tape, hair clip, leather cord, jewelry wire, black paint, embroidery thread.
Pantry Supplies: Scissors
First, take a piece of jewelry wire and twist it together forming a small hook. Next, take a feather and cut off the end of the quill, right by where the feather begins. Take a small piece of masking tape, and begin wrapping it around the end of the feather and the wire, securing them together. Then, paint the masking tape black. You can skip this step if you use black electrical tape instead. Once you've repeated steps 1-3 on multiple feathers (I used four), begin stranding them onto the leather cord and tie a knot at the end. Once they are all stranded, pinch the wire around the leather to prevent the feathers from sliding up and down. Next, apply a hair clip to the top of the cord by wrapping it around the clip and securing the cord together with jewelry wire. Lastly, wrap pretty embroidery thread all around the cord for a unique detail.
I can't wait to pair this with a long, flowy dress and messy, curly locks in the summer.
I'm currently editing the day away on account of the rain postponing a photo shoot, entitling me to endless cups of peppermint coffee and possibly treating myself to an over due date with New Girl; if by chance I finish the final photos of two weddings I've been working on.
I'm always thankful for stormy days; it gets my mind a brewin' and gives me a fresh perspective.

I hope your weekend is starting off grand.
p.s. I found this song to be rainy day appropriate. :)
Wow what a cool idea! I pinned it in my mind for as soon as possible!
