And breathe.
Here's where I ramble about the events the past few days have held. Ready, set, go.
This past week has been wonderfully productive and filled to the brim. I'm currently working on a little over 2000 photos from weddings and shoots from the past two weeks. I've found my new favorite place to work, which happens to involve climbing out my bedroom window. A few hours before sunset, we have a cool shade and the prettiest light that hits the roof. There is also a flock of birds that have claimed the roof above us as their favorite singing spot; one more reason to work out there for hours on end. Our living room is almost officially painted; something we've been planning since we moved in and just now found the time to see it accomplished. It's sparked a desire to begin decorating our place the way I've wanted to since the beginning. My summer goal is to have it looking just as I imagine by the time fall rolls around. This is the first place to really feel like it belongs to us, so I'm thoughtfully contemplating each new (and old) thing we collect, making it an extremely long project. But I want to love every inch and corner. Speaking of our home, Josh brought home the gem you see in the photo above.. I saw it at a local antique shop, and he surprised me when I found it sitting on our bed a few days ago, along with a handful of purple and yellow flowers. He won a lot of husband points that day.
Cross my heart this next week won't be so quiet around here on SK.
Sounds like you've had quite a few busy (but fun!) days. & I'm so excited to see The Middle East on your playlist. Blood is one of the best songs I've heard in awhile!

That skull is gorgeous, I'm sure he deserves a lot of husband points for that one! I'm going through the same thing with decorating our home (even though we are about to move again) but I'm contemplating everything and trying to get to the point where we love every little thing and detail about our home.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have been busy! You have impeccable music taste by the way :)
