I've been on a bleaching craze for a few weeks now. I know, I'm a little late to be jumping aboard this new trend, but I don't mind. I've been thrifting a lot more recently and everything I pass, I think, "That would be perfect to bleach!" I need to get a hold of myself before I bleach everything I own, most likely right before it goes out of style.
Here's a bit of inspiration for those wanting to jump on the bleaching bandwagon as well. I took a long, button-down, jean dress and cut it off at my hips. Then I simply took it outside and used a spray bleach bottle, spraying more excessively in some areas than others, creating various spots and speckles.
This weekend has been filled with multiple photo shoots, meetings with clients, and a wedding on Sunday, so it might be a little quiet here over the weekend. But I'll be back in full swing on Monday with some photos, projects, and styling posts.
I hope you have a memory filled, relaxing, summer weekend.
Yes! It's beautiful - thanks for sharing. I really like the maroon skirt too.

I can't quite decide whether I'm on board with the bleaching thing as yet or not, but the subtler bleached looks are lovely :-) Like the way you have one, large area and then delicate splatters!

ReplyDeleteBrilliant! Love it!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I have been wondering how it would work if I "tie dyed" a solid colour shirt, but used bleach in place of the dye. Have you tried that before?
ReplyDeletecute!! :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, bleaching sounds like it could be a lot of fun! Definitely something I'd want to try with the next pair of jeans/shorts I decide to 'sacrifice'! :) x

Love the idea of using a spray bottle and that you chopped off a 90's dress into an adorable top/vest! That might be a DIY even I could do :)
