Floral crowns have become an essential for me when scheduling modeling shoots for our business. They are such a pretty statement piece that can really define the photographs. Every floral crown I've ever bought or made has more of a spring vibe to it, so I decided it was about time I added a fall inspired crown to the bunch.
I followed the basic instructions from Elsie's floral crown back in the spring, but instead used fall inspired elements. I chose a light orange flower arrangement and off white weeds that I found at the local craft store. As long as at least one of your elements has a wire base, you can use any type of floral/weeds you like.
Because the white weeds were merely weeds with no wiring at all, I simply hot glued them in place. The key to making the design have a clean appearance is to make each piece go the same direction, hiding the end underneath a piece of floral that's already attached to the crown.
Do you have any projects you are putting your own fall twist on this season? Leave me a link, I would love to see!

ReplyDeleteThis crown is gorgeous! And perfectly autumnal indeed. I've been itching to make one with coloured leaves but the synthetic ones look so fake and the real ones dry too fast... This might be the perfect alternative!

Your flower crown is so delicate, I absolutely love it! At the moment I've only made some out of big burgundy roses and some smaller pink, cream, purple and red ones. I can't wait to make something similar to yours :)
