Printed Tank DIY

This concept is nothing new by any means, but has more of a fashionable twist on it than those cheesy t-shirts you use to create back in middle school. Below are two files I've created that you can download for free to create the same tanks I made.

Supplies: t-shirt, iron on paper, fabric dye (optional).
Pantry Supplies: Scissors, iron.

Begin by cutting the t-shirt into a tank top. I did two versions; one, cutting the front straight across, and the other, leaving two flaps in the front to tie into a knot. Optional; dye the tank top. Next, print your design onto the iron on paper. Follow the instructions of the iron on paper and apply it to the tank top.

Enjoy!

  25. Lovely! I'm a long time follower but first time posting :)
How did you get the tone variations in the dyed top? Is it tie-dye, did you spray it onto the fabric rather than dipping it...?

    1. Thank you so much for your support! :)

I wadded it into a ball and dipped it into a bucket of dye, creating the tie-dye effect!

  33. Love this idea! Thinking about doing a shirt with the polaroids for a friend. Recently took photos at her wedding and would be a perfect late wedding gift. Do you happen to know what brand of iron on paper you used? I've tried some in the past that just peel after use.
    Thanks!

    1. Thank you! I used a basic dye that I purchased at Walmart in the laundry detergent section. I believe it was the "tan" bottle, but it was awhile ago so I'm not positive.
