Here's where I ramble about all the happenings in our lives lately:
We are currently sitting at a local coffee shop, our favorite one to be exact, editing photos and talking business. We haven't made an official announcement yet, but Josh has been working with me full time with photography. I was getting to the point where I had too many shoots and weddings to keep up with myself and was slowly starting to lose my mind. Okay, maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but I was at the very least overwhelmed. Since Josh has become part of the team full time, I've never been so inspired, excited and productive. It's been a sweet past month, and I know it's only about to get sweeter the more he learns the ropes and adds to the creative aspect of it all. While I'm at it, I'll bring to light that my photography website has been down for about a month or so, and we're working on getting a new one up and running; but these things take time, something I'm perfectly okay with.
The chilly weather is officially here. I've been collecting over-sized sweaters the past couple of weeks. Counting this one, plus the ones I've thrifted over the weekend, I've added five to the collection. I think I've started an unhealthy obsession. You can bet you'll see a lot of them in future wardrobe posts, so I apologize in advance. ;)
I'm so very looking forward to the next couple of days. Saturday + Sunday, we're taking a husband-wife get away to St. Louis, coming back to Springfield Sunday evening for an engagement shoot, then heading out right afterward to Kansas City until Tuesday morning with our dearest friends. Some weekends require little work and lots of play in order to fully rejuvenate for the creative projects ahead. I'll be honest, it used to be really hard for me to make time for trips like this. I'm a workaholic, but I've been reminded to make time to make memories, invest in relationships, and of course, go on spontaneous road trips.
Life is sweet, imperfect, busy, and wonderful.
