Wooden Crate Christmas Tree

Our little loft is not one for space, especially storage space. It was designed with a very open feel in mind, which I love, but that makes purchasing and storing a large Christmas tree out of the question. We already had these crates in our home, (used for storage space in our closet) so it worked out perfectly.

We stacked seven crates in a "tree" shape and filled it with mason jars + tea lights, scented candles, pine tree garland, two deer figurines, and pine cones. I also intertwined Christmas lights throughout the back to bring a bit more light in. We just finished putting it up, so I have yet to see what it looks like when it's completely dark, but I have a feeling it's going to fit right in.

  1. That is a really good idea and super cute! It still sucks that you can't have a real tree.

  6. This is such a great idea! A tree wouldn't fit in my apartment either! I would keep those crates there all the time and change up what was inside. I especially love the subtlety of the lights being behind the crates!
