Meet Banjo. We adopted this sweet Alusky (Alaskan Malamute / Husky) last night. Josh put it perfectly when he said, "It feels like Christmas morning." We've wanted a pup since we first got married, but the timing was never right. Plus, we've had our eye on a malamute/husky for the past year and couldn't convince ourselves that any other breed was right for us. We are in love. Our little travel buddy.

I have an Alaskan Malamute that's 5 years old and he is the most precious thing ever. WE rescued him about a year ago. Our other dog is a Husky, shepherd mix but more husky than anything and we absolutely love her. Huskies and Malamutes are definitely my favorite. And I absolutely love the Red Coating on Banjo.
ReplyDeleteYou should look into getting him serviced if you are really wanting to take him everywhere with you! Our are our travel buddies and go camping with us and to hotels and everything. Definitely my favorite thing.

We found a family in our local area that have an alaskan malamute and husky that had an unexpected litter of puppies. ;) We loved adopting from a local family! They gave each puppy so much love and attention.

Oh my gosh, he's so cute! I missed the really young puppy stage on my 'wolf' (Northern Inuit, very similar to an Alusky), he was already 16 weeks when I brought him home. I hope you all have much fun and adventures together ... and watch out for your slippers ;)

ReplyDeleteMy family adopted an Aussie Siberian (Australian Shepherd, Husky mix) on New Years Eve. Love the husky traits, and Malamutes are great dogs too! He's gorgeous. :)
