The perfect drink for a cozy, stormy day indoors. Enjoy!
1 tbsp agave nectar or organic sugar
3 tbsp water
10 organic dark chocolate chips
1/4 tsp almond extract
1 cup organic milk (I used almond milk)
2 shots espresso
Begin by stirring and melting together the nectar, water, chips, and extract in a sauce pan on the stove top. This will be your syrup. Add 1-3 tsp. of syrup, depending on how sweet you like your coffee, to your coffee mug. Next, with your espresso machine, steam the milk and add it to the mug as well. Lastly, pull two espresso shots. Stir lightly and serve! If you don't have an espresso machine, you can learn how to create this drink by following the steps that you can find in this previous coffee diaries post.
These photos are beautiful! I would totally do this as it's a rainy and gloomy day today in my town but due to the fact that I'm lactose intolerant all I have to do is wish! I love your photos, they look really nice and portray a nice, relaxing ambient.

This sounds so good. I bet this would be even more amazing with hazelnut milk, though I haven't been able to find it organic yet.
