Coffee Scrub // Clean Living

Today's post counts as a coffee diaries post as well! Coffee scrubs are a great way to start your morning off with a boost of energy. The caffeine in the coffee grounds exfoliate your skin and reduce the appearance of cellulite, while the coconut oil and honey make your skin extra soft.

Ingredients:
1/4 cup organic coffee grounds
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 tbsp honey
5-10 drops vanilla essential oil *optional

Begin by melting the oil over the stove top. Once completely melted, remove from the stove and stir in essential oil and honey. Next, add in the coffee grounds. Store in a sealed container at room temperature.

To use, scoop a small handful and exfoliate by gently massaging it into your skin. Rinse with warm water.

    1. I JUST ordered Frank coffee scrub yesterday! I love the smell of coffee grounds. It reminds me of pairing it with yummy sweets like brownies! http://www.designlifediaries.com/2014/04/the-brownie-shop-beverly-hills.html
I guess when the scrub I ordered runs out, I'll just make my own with the homemade recipe! :)

  14. I literally just whipped up a batch of this on the stove with the morning's coffee grounds! Do you think it'll still work since the grounds have been used? I can't wait to try it out. I've been holding off on purchasing a more high-end "natural" scrub, so I have high hopes for this recipe. Thanks!
