Ingredients:
1/4 cup organic coffee grounds
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 tbsp honey
5-10 drops vanilla essential oil *optional
Begin by melting the oil over the stove top. Once completely melted, remove from the stove and stir in essential oil and honey. Next, add in the coffee grounds. Store in a sealed container at room temperature.
To use, scoop a small handful and exfoliate by gently massaging it into your skin. Rinse with warm water.
I found your blog through A Beautiful Mess, and I'm SO glad I did. I've been writing my musings for years, but haven't really immersed myself in the Blogger community. I love your style + photography. You have a new follower in me! :) :) xoxo

I'm in need of a great scrub because my skin looks very dry. In addition to drinking more water, a fabulous scrub will definitely help.
ReplyDeleteI am currently using Frank Scrub and it's amazing. I want to make my own though! It just smells so good
ReplyDeleteI JUST ordered Frank coffee scrub yesterday! I love the smell of coffee grounds. It reminds me of pairing it with yummy sweets like brownies! http://www.designlifediaries.com/2014/04/the-brownie-shop-beverly-hills.html
DeleteI guess when the scrub I ordered runs out, I'll just make my own with the homemade recipe! :)
Such beautiful photography!

I love coffee scrubs! They smell amazing and is great for the skin. I like making my own - very similar to your recipe, but never tried adding vanilla essential oil. Going to try that out next time! Thanks! x
ReplyDeletesounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteThis looks wonderful. I usually do another Cellulite Busting scrub that uses coffee grounds that I love but I definitely will have to try this one! Thanks for your beautiful pictures and the recipe!

I literally just whipped up a batch of this on the stove with the morning's coffee grounds! Do you think it'll still work since the grounds have been used? I can't wait to try it out. I've been holding off on purchasing a more high-end "natural" scrub, so I have high hopes for this recipe. Thanks!
