S'mores Latte // Coffee Diaries

Having friends over for a bonfire has to be our favorite thing to do during the summertime. It just feels right. This is what I like to think of as my substitute for the beloved hot chocolate and is nice on those cooler summer evenings. This would also be a great recipe to try in the morning while out camping. Just pre-prep the syrup at home, and heat the coffee and milk over the fire during breakfast!

ingredients:

2 shots of espresso
1 cup organic milk
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup agave syrup
graham crackers
mini marshmallows (try making your own!)

As always, I used 100% organic ingredients. Begin by heating the water, syrup, and cocoa powder on the stove top on low. Heat for ten minutes or until completely mixed and store in a sealable container. This will be your chocolate syrup. Next, steam the milk. While the milk is steaming, pull the shots of espresso and immediately add in one tbsp of chocolate syrup. Mix well, then add the steamed milk. Top off with marshmallows and graham cracker crumbs. Enjoy!

  3. I've never made hot chocolate using a syrup, but I love the idea! Also, adding espresso is genius. I can totally see myself making this for my group of friends on a summer evening, sitting by the fire with blankets and pillows.

  13. S'more Latte?! Ah, that sounds amazing! I've been on the hunt for all things s'mores this summer. I made the homemade s'more and PB chocolate chip pie, found a s'mores brownie in Beverly Hills: http://www.designlifediaries.com/2014/04/the-brownie-shop-beverly-hills.html
And a s'mores donut in West Hollywood: http://www.designlifediaries.com/2014/05/the-glazed-donut-bistro.html

Needless to say, I'm slightly obsessed :) So this will have to be next on my list! And I never knew you could make your own mimi mallows, how fun!

  14. Thanks for sharing this ingredients, I will surly make this delicious coffee in my home. Now days at-least every nutritionist prefer that we should use organic coffee because it is produced according to certain production standards. It is grown without the use of conventional pesticides, artificial fertilizers, human waste, or sewage sludge, and is processed without ionizing radiation or food additives.
