Tea is like coffee used to be for me. I tried coffee when I was younger, and it left a bad taste in my mouth...literally. But once I started making my own coffee recipes, that all changed. This is slowly becoming the case with tea. As I've started making my own recipes, I'm starting to turn to the tea side.
ingredients:
lavender seeds
2 tsp honey (optional)
two black tea bags
4 cups of water
This recipe is for two cups of tea. One for you and one to share!
Add four cups of water and a pinch of lavender seeds in a pan and begin boiling. Once boiling, remove from the stove top. Place a tea bag in each mug, and pour the water over the tea bags, 3/4 full. You can use a tea ball strainer for the lavender seeds, though it really isn't necessary if you don't already own one. Let the tea steep for 3-5 minutes. Remove tea bags and remaining lavender seeds.
Add a tsp of honey for a bit of sweetness.
Pair this tea with this honey lavender bread recipe for an afternoon pick-me-up.
Looks delicious! I love adding a little drizzle of honey in green tea, makes it ten times better!
ReplyDeleteI love your teacup and I really love tea! Especially herbal teas, I have a tea collection. I'm really not a coffee person. So this post is great, I'm going to try this new recipe. Thanks for sharing.

Your photos are gorgeous! I've never thought of putting honey in my tea as I like the bitter taste, but I might give it a try just for a change!
