As much as I love making gifts for others, when it comes to giving handmade Christmas presents most of us don't have hours upon hours to spend on making each gift. Over the next couple of weeks I'm going to be sharing a few gift ideas that aren't only cost effective, but can be made in thirty minutes or less!
Tassel Necklace
supplies: embroidery thread, necklace chain, leather, scissors, hot glue gun
Begin by laying the thread across the chain.
Next, attach a thin piece of leather around the thread, creating a loop around the chain. Hot glue the leather in place.
Lastly, trim the ends of the thread so that they are all even.
Tassel Earrings:
supplies: embroidery thread, earring hooks, leather, scissors, hot glue gun
Begin by cutting the thread in half. You will use one half for each earring.
Take one strand of string and tie it to the hoop of the earring hook with the knot underneath.
Fold the thread down and wrap a thin piece of leather around the thread. Hot glue the leather in place.
End by trimming the ends to an even length.
Style your gift by attaching the earrings and necklace to a small piece of leather.
This is tres cute!!! I've been brainstorming cute DIY gifts and this one is definitely one I'll keep in mind. Thank you!
